WHAT'S THE WEATHER?
Every day and all around the world the weather is different. Let’s find out about how we can learn to read the clouds and how different kinds of weather are formed. In this book, we explore everyday weather and major weather events, such as floods, tornados, cyclones, and more.
What’s the Weather? looks at different types of weather around the world and addresses common questions that children have. Inset boxes highlight new vocabulary and interest points. Large format diagrams and photographs illustrate the weather cycle simply. These clear and engaging photographs allow children to focus on the type of weather they are seeing and allows an open discussion about what they are particularly interested in.
What’s the Weather? is useful to read as a whole or, when focussing on a particular type of weather, certain sections can be highlighted. This topic is introduced and expanded on throughout the early years and provides repeated opportunities to develop understandings, along with exploration and investigation across the curriculum.
